FIT FOR THE FUTURE
on the front line for freight
Freight Industry Times has launched FIT FOR THE FUTURE – a new campaign to address the skills shortages in the freight sector and attract more young people to the industry. We have highlighted five key challenges the industry needs to address as a matter of urgency:
1. Engage and attract young people into the industry
2. Improve the industry's image and perception
3. Invest in recruitment and retention
4. Increase skills and training provision
5. Embrace gender and cultural diversity
Over the coming months, Freight Industry Times will be looking at these challenges in depth, examining the latest initiatives from across government, industry and academia, as well as featuring those innovative companies who are rising to the FIT FOR THE FUTURE challenge.
FIT FOR THE FUTURE also provides a unique cross–platform marketing opportunity to organisations and businesses working in the skills sector, helping them to showcase their products, services and solutions and build brand recognition on the back of the campaign.
Freight Online's new jobs and training section also includes all the latest job vacancies from the supply chain - road, rail, air and maritime - as well as up-to the minute information on the latest appointments, training and skills opportunities currently available. We cover all positions, from junior roles up to board level, and as result, can attract the highest calibre of candidates.
Ultimately, our specialist focus means we can provide a unique one-stop source for all recruitment and training opportunities across the UK supply chain, and have created three multi-platform marketing opportunities that reflect this... The three sponsorship packages comprise the following:
