TDG appoints logistics professional as new MD

Logistics and supply chain specialist TDG has announced the appointment of David Bermingham as managing director for its UK contract logistics and transport business units.

David Bermingham, MD, UK contract logistics, TDGForty seven year old David has joined the company following a successful 17-year career with CEVA (formerly TNT Logistics).  His previous roles have included general manager, divisional director and managing director of CEVA s multi-user business division, and he has spent his working life in logistics.

David's wealth of experience sets him in excellent stead to find ways to offer both existing and new customers more opportunities.  He will assist in the external promotion of TDG's integrated supply chain management service and promote a sector focus whilst looking at service skills across the business.

David explained: "As with all businesses, TDG has been directly impacted by the downturn in the economy over the past few years.  However the organisation has responded positively and with focus, resulting in a strong business structure and passionately developed services both with the existing customer base, and externally.

"My new role is an exciting one, particularly during the current economic climate.  I believe TDG is in a strong position to concentrate on strategy for future growth by applying our skills into complementary market sectors yet retaining our excellent record in service delivery and customer focus."
