Multimodal 2010 only three months away

Multimodal is the UK’s largest freight transport and logistics event – the event is already significantly larger than last year and provides shippers with a one-stop-shop to meet their service providers and supply chain partners.

MultimodalThis year’s event will play host to over 150 of the industry’s most important service providers including Malcolm Logistics, DSV, Autostore, TT Club, DB Schenker, Ewals, GEFCO, Cosco Logistics, Corporate Solutions, Woodland Group, Dachser, Russell, Freightliner, Tenens, Peel Ports, ABP, Grimsby & Immingham, AMI, PD Ports and Allport.

Multimodal 2010 will also feature free-of-charge seminars and market briefings for all attendees.

The Shippers Voice Seminar Programme is entitled ‘Collaboration – the key to value creation in Supply Chain Management’ with presentations and case studies from Tiaca, Samskip, RfG, Freight by Water and MDS Transmodal amongst others.

Subjects covered include the reduction of empty running, lower fuel costs, improved warehouse utilisation and giving SMEs the critical mass to compete.

The Trade Extensions Briefings Programme covers the Decarbonising of Logistics, Optimisation, Tendering and Supplier Selection. Briefings will be conducted by Key3 Partners, Trade Extensions, Heriot-Watt University and Kellogg’s.

Multimodal 2010 will also feature two networking receptions, a tour to the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal and the famous Multimodal Hog Roast – sponsored by Kewill.

Over 3,000 shippers, retailers, manufacturers, importers and exporters attended last year.
