COSCO and Seabury join Cool Logistics 2010 speakers

London, 8 September 2010 - Captain Weng Lin, Vice President for COSCO Container Lines Europe GmbH and Mathijs Slangen, Senior Analyst with Seabury Cargo Advisory Netherlands, are the final speakers to confirm their participation at the upcoming 3rd Cool Logistics conference, taking place 20-22 September in Hamburg.

Captain Weng will give an ocean carrier perspective on “Trade, Responsibility and Efficiency” on the morning of 21 September. He speaks alongside Stephane Lemaire, Market Manager Germany and Austria for Air France Cargo-KLM Cargo, who will present views from the airfreight sector, and Ken Kinscher, Manager Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions at M.M. Warburg & Co, who discusses the outlook for M&A activity in the cool logistics supply chain.

Mathijs Slangen joins the Capacity Management session on 22 September to review perishable trade developments for the global air and ocean segments. His presentation will cover both short and longer term trends, including the effect of the economic downturn, shifts in production and consumption locations, the outlook for cargo value density moving by sea and air, and the future role of sea versus air in perishable supply chains.

“We are delighted to confirm the participation of COSCO, one of the world’s top 10 container carriers, and Seabury Cargo Advisory, one of the industry’s most highly respected trade and capacity analysts for air and ocean freight,” says Rachael White, Cool Logistics 2010 Event Director.

With less than 2 weeks to go, more companies than ever before will attend the 3rd annual event for global perishable transport and logistics, with participants from over 20 countries representing the entire cold chain from production to retail.

Cool Logistics 2010 is officially supported by Port of Hamburg Marketing and has also gained the support of a number of prominent industry groups, including the Shippers’ Voice and German Cold Storage and Logistics Association VDKL.
