IRTE Biofuels Conference

The IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers) is holding a conference on 14 September in Warwickshire, providing an opportunity to learn more about biofuels and discover how they will affect commercial vehicle operations.

  • Key industry speakers to share experience on biofuels and vehicle operations
  • Early bird offer: 10% discount on delegate ticket if booked before 30 June.
  • Conference to be held 14 September 2010 at Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire

Due to uncertainty about the use of biofuels, operators often worry about possible maintenance problems and the addition of costs to their business.

The IRTE Biofuels Conference offers a platform for the profession to both learn from industry experts, and discuss the wide-ranging issues surrounding alternative fuels, and is co-sponsored by CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), CILT, The Energy Institute, the FTA and the IMechE.

Key speakers from international organisations, such as DAF and MAN, will provide informative presentations, affording delegates an excellent opportunity to discover how their business should move forward. From storage and vehicle warranties, maintenance to real industry examples, the Conference will answer all of your questions.

IRTE, one of the most respected names in UK transport, was founded in 1944 and is recognised as an impartial voice of the industry. A Professional Sector of SOE (Society of Operations Engineers), members benefits include post-nominal letters, industry-leading technical journal Transport Engineer, free events and technical guides, discounts and more. SOE is also licensed to register members with the Engineering Council at EngTech, IEng and CEng level.

With increasing pressures from governments and the public for manufacturers and operators to explore ‘greener’ alternatives to fossil fuels, now is the time to prepare and stay ahead of the competitors.

Speakers include:

  • Phil Moon, DAF
  • Carl Firstbrook, MAN
  • Steve Smith, Feather Diesel
  • Graham Belgum, First Bus.

Price:

  • SOE, CILT, Energy Institute, FTA and IMechE members: £80 + VAT
  • Non-members: £95 + VAT
  • Early bird offer: 10% discount if booked before 30 June.
