CML help replace stolen books after school break-in

Warehouse and logistics expert CML came to the rescue after John Wycliffe Primary School in Lutterworth was affected by a break-in. With the help of its client, Hacche, the companies were able to donate new children’s books to replace those taken in the summer holidays.
CML has been working with Hacche Retail Ltd for more than a decade ten. As specialists in supplying books, gifts, and games to the UK retail sector, Hacche donated a number of books and toys to CML to give to a cause of their choice.
After reading about the incident, Phil Perkins, General Manager at CML, spotted the perfect opportunity to put the kind donation to good use. A variety of activity and reading books and games totaling nearly £1,400 were generously gifted for children of all ages at the school to enjoy.
Phil and Letisha Harbidge, CML’s HR Advisor, went into the John Wycliffe Primary School to present these to Head Teacher, Mrs Vickie Njoroge.
Vickie commented: “The staff, pupils and PTA would like to say thank you to CML for such a generous donation of books and games.  Some of the books will go straight into the classrooms and the remaining items will be used by the PTA as prizes to raise funds for the school. We really appreciate donations such as these, as they help to provide those little extras to enrich the children’s learning, so we are very grateful.”
Phil added:  “We’re passionate about helping the local community and when we heard about the sad news at the primary school, we were more than willing to help in any way we could. Working with Hacche meant that we were able to make this happen, and we would like to say a huge thank you for their kind donation.”
