Viasea to open new UK-Norway route

Viasea to open UK-Norway route

Norwegian short sea shipping specialist Viasea will be offering a new direct route to Norway from Immingham.

The new weekly service, which commences on 1 May, will visit four ports in Norway – Oslo, Moss, Larvik and Kristiansand – giving access to the whole of the southern part of Norway in one route.

Viasea opened its Immingham office in January and is headed up by Andrew Ellis (pictured above, inset). He said: “In order to drive forward the modal shift to containerised cargo, we are creating consistent, sustainable, logistics solutions – tailored to satisfy both the current and the future requirements of our customers.”

Viasea Shipping’s Managing Director, Morten Pettersen, added: “We are very proud to extend our services further, now opening our own office in the UK. This will enable us to take good care of our existing customers, and also build for more business in the UK.”
