FORS reports heavy traffic at the CV Show

After a hiatus of eight years, FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, enjoyed what it described as a ‘fantastic’ return to the Commercial Vehicle Show (CV Show).

From the opening morning, footfall on FORS’ stand in Hall 5 ensured an ultra-busy three days, with no fewer than 200 serious enquiries, and 20 new Member registrations.

“The response from operators has been fantastic,” said FORS Concession Director, John Hix.

“No doubt, our offer of 50 per cent discount on first year Membership for Show goers was a big draw, and we’re extending that offer to the 6th May to allow those operators who are unfamiliar with the Scheme time to consider the many benefits we can provide.

“It was the quality of enquiries, however, that really pleased me.  I detected a genuine enthusiasm for promoting best practice – and that’s what we’re all about.”

FORS chose the CV Show to launch its Going for Bronze Handbook – a clear, step-by-step guide to achieving Bronze accreditation, packed with Top Tips and essential weblinks.

One of FORS most popular offerings at the CV Show was its Toolbox Talks packs – designed for Transport Managers to provide their drivers with the essential ‘tools’ to drive-up safety, efficiency and environmental compliance.
