RHA leads the way for hauliers at the CV Show
With this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show (CV Show) just around the corner, the Road Haulage Association (RHA) is filled with anticipation as it prepares itself for three days of new product launches, exciting announcements and the opportunity to talk to members and prospective members about everything it does to support the industry on which the rest of UK economy relies.
Stand 5G30 will see the RHA showcasing its exciting portfolio of membership benefits and services, tailored to the needs of the industry. And on day one of the Show, it will be launching a new and exciting service designed to put an end to a haulier’s sleepless nights.
Another exciting feature of this year’s event will be the launch of HGV Heroes 2016. Developed in partnership with Dunlop, HGV Heroes is an initiative aimed at attracting more drivers into the industry. If you think you have what it takes, check out the adjacent Dunlop stand (5G38), and try your hand at racing radio-controlled model trucks on a unique and challenging circuit.
The RHA is also supporting a design challenge that sees local schools take part in industry related issues. The Make It Challenge sees 13 to 14 year-olds participate in a series of challenges that will be over-seen by a Dragons Den style judging panel.
RHA chief executive Richard Burnett, who is also one of the Make-it Challenge Dragons, commented: “We take our responsibility as the only association dedicated to the road haulage industry very seriously. We constantly strive to provide the best possible range of products and services that will benefit our members.
“We constantly lobby and campaign on behalf of our members and the industry as a whole on a wide range of issues including fuel duty, driver shortage, congestion and road safety. The CV Show gives us the perfect opportunity to get member feedback on what we’re doing and of course, how we could do better.
RHA-sponsored British Touring Car Championship driver, Tom Ingram will be on the RHA stand with his racing car. Tom won the first race of the 2016 BTCC season a few weeks ago. Why not take the chance of having your photo taken in the winner’s car with a winning driver?
In addition to all of this, the RHA will be formally launching National Lorry Week 2016. Last year’s week-long event was a tremendous success with hauliers from all part of the UK taking part. So, come along and find out how you can get involved in this year’s event?
To find out more from the RHA team of experts then come along to Stand SG30 at the 2016 CV Show. And if you just want to stop by to rest your feet and have a cup of coffee, that’s good too.
