Richard Burnett to deliver keynote address at Microlise Transport Conference

The chief executive of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), Richard Burnett, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Microlise Transport Conference which returns to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Wednesday 20th May.

Mr Burnett will offer a ‘state of the nation’ view on the industry, assessing the issues and challenges that operators face now and in the future as the industry continues to develop.  He will also talk about the RHA, how it works with members and the support it offers, as well as his plans for the future of the organisation.

“The Microlise Transport Conference theme taps into the key issues in transport.  It gives the RHA the perfect opportunity to share its vision for a progressive future for the Association and for the industry, its customers and suppliers,” explains Richard Burnett.

“Road haulage and distribution is a vital service provider, increasingly IT-led and professionally licenced and qualified.  The RHA is perfectly placed to champion the industry and help take it to the next level.”

The focus of the Conference is to provide insight and information for fleet operators to help reduce operating costs, improve service levels and reduce impact on the environment – key challenges for organisations running transport and logistics operations.

The 2015 event – which will be chaired by Quentin Willson, broadcaster, journalist and spokesperson for FairFuelUK – expects to welcome around 1,000 delegates to hear from a speaker line up full of industry heavyweights, as well as over 20 exhibitors made up of a range of industry operators and suppliers. The Microlise Transport Conference, is sponsored by vehicle manufacturers and Microlise OEM partners MAN and DAF, and is free to attend.
